Un ram de Margarides

We put women at the fore and celebrate their legacy

'365 Dones l'any' , organised by the TNC in collaboration with amateur companies from all over Catalonia in order to help celebrate significant female figures lost to the annals of history, is one of the most prolific projects and has achieved great results in the cultural field of the city and among amateur theatre companies.

Given this success, in the 2024/2025 season the TNC has asked a female Catalan playwright and a director to rescue from oblivion a female figure forgotten in the history of Catalonia. On this occasion, Queralt Riera will write a piece about a woman, Margarida Rugall, known as Na Rugalla, considered a witch in the mid-16th century. The play will be staged under the direction of Clara Manyós.
