Èdip & Antígona

Èdip & Antígona

We travel to the very heart of our culture, to the absolute upheaval of all certainties.

After successfully adapting La plaça del Diamant by Mercè Rodoreda, which was shown in the Sala Gran del TNC, Carlota Subirós surrounds herself with a luxurious team to approach two great myths: Oedipus and Antigone.

In this free version of the three immense tragedies of Sophocles – Oedipus the King, Oedipus at Colonus and Antigone – we travel to the very heart of our culture, to the absolute upheaval of all certainties where, in the midst of the unleashed violence, the voice of Antigone cries out with force for mercy, for human dignity, for love instead of hatred.
